
Now I’m not saying Wayne loves CrossFit and all types of fitness but….. after over 25 years in the military the only thing he has more than medals, are fitness and coaching qualifications! Lets meet the man whose drier than a sand encrusted packet of Jacobs cream crackers, that’s not had a drink in 5 days!
Ginge loves to learn, loves to work out and most of all, really loves to coach. We at CFF are delighted that he has decided to join the team and bring a little more colour to our fitness family. The future is bright for our members, why? Because the future is Ginger!
- Joined: I joined CFF in 2024, but I’ve been a CrossFit nomad around the community since 2013
- Coaching since: 2008. I’ve been coaching CrossFit since 2021

- Favourite Gym Song: ‘Roll the Dice’ by Shy FX – PB Track all the way
- Party Trick: Being at the party is usually the trick
- Favourite CrossFit Moment: I do love a barbell, so breaking the 100kg Snatch barrier was definitely a moment
- Favourite Coaching Moment: As a Coach it gives me no greater pleasure than to see people achieve or better the goals that they set out for. Selfishly though, seeing my partner Amber, RX her first gymnastics workout.
- Most humbling CrossFit Moment: I get humbled on a daily basis! But to answer the question, Open 14.1. That was the moment I realised that being able to do a movement is not the same as being able to string them together, very different things indeed
- How would you describe yourself: Super dry sense of humour and after 25 years in the military I’ve developed the trait of always striving for the best in the things I do
- Favourite Workout: There isn’t many benchmark, Hero or qualifier workouts that I haven’t done and they are all brilliant in one way or another, but my favourite is DIANE.
- 21-15-9 Deadlifts and Handstand Push Ups.
- Most savage Workout: The one that stings the most has to be FRAN. If you hit that at maximum intensity and go for unbroken, it will leave you in bits for hours. I mean, it even has its own medical condition… Fran-lung!
